DC motor

We used a loot of time to study which motor to use. We looked at Brush less PM motors but concluded that they are too expensive and heavy, compared to Brushed PM DC motor from LMC and Agni (3,27 kW/kg). We selected the motor with the greatest power rating from LMC. The LMC 200D135RAGS with rating of 400A and 110VDC. To make enough power, do we have to use two of those. To supply the motors we use a Evnetics Soliton Junior motor controller which can deliver 600A  at 340VDC. And a battery pack that can supply 600A at 250VDC.

The motors is connected in series. It means that they will have the same current and the same torque. But the Rpm/V have to be adjusted to match each other. We had some trouble with spark generation, until we got the Rpm/V adjustments correct.
